April 5-9 edited

We arrived at Gare du Nord around noontime via the Eurostar train. Despite the bustling station, we swiftly made our way to the street for a taxi, aiming to collect our keys by 1 pm. Little did we know, the traffic was an unprecedented nightmare. Our driver, whether heroic or simply nuts, maneuvered through the chaos, darting in and out of lanes, even using the wrong side of the street. Miraculously, we reached Rue Leon Frot to grab the key and then trekked a short 100km to our flat. Despite initial worries, our Airbnb in the 11th arrondissement was charmingly located amidst quaint eateries, albeit a bit distant from the tourist hotspots. A Lebanese dinner followed, albeit disappointing, it filled our hungry stomachs. The next morning, a stroll to Montmartre led us to Sacre Couer and the DalĂ museum, a true artistic marvel. We capped the day with Turkish cuisine and a visit to Super Sonic for live music. The following day's Uber journey to Rodin was marred by the Paris marathon, encountering street closures and witnessing a distressing bike accident. Despite setbacks, the museum's splendor rejuvenated our spirits. A Mexican feast awaited us for dinner, culminating in a satisfying crash at home. Fast forward to April 8th, we embarked on another adventure, albeit foiled by museum entry restrictions. Refueling at O'Sullivans with a hearty meal, we returned to Les Disquaires for more musical indulgence. As for today, a well-deserved break ensued, with a leisurely visit to the massage parlor and a replenishing grocery run. A downpour during dinner at Brother Sister added a dash of excitement. And as the clock nears midnight, I am writing down these adventures, eager to capture every moment before tomorrow's celebration—my birthday!
