How to drop 10lbs

I don't know.  I just know in my 37th year, I've gain weight and I just want to lose 10lbs. Ok so my plan is to start training for a 10k and to run 5k without stopping. I will begin with the latter and progress up    To the 10k by July 30th. I also give myself to the same date to learn to ride a bike. I also plan to have two meatless/vegan days. Hope that works.
