Finished Camus' the outsider

Great book about indifference. I think a critical theme is really about our significance in this world. Can one go against the grain and still matter. Mr Mersault did not fit neatly into societal norms and paid with his life. He indeed was truly an outsider or a stranger. He could not confirm even when begged to and even to save his life. I'm pretty sure u would bend if facing similar circumstances. A question for you is, do you have any values that go against the norm?
