1 year microloc update

1. When did you get your locs? Jan 17, 2023
2. What type of locs? Belle microloc braids
3. Where did you get it? Braids that speak DMV area
4. How many? 201 or little more
5. How much did it cost? See their website 
6. What are the pros? Get up and go, no worries about rain or precipitation, no long hair wash and style days
7. What are the cons? Finding retie or maintenance consultants, would travel for retie for first 6 months, miss my slick ponytail 
8. Would you do it again? Yes, maybe years ago
9. What do you do to maintain? I wash with a clarifying shampoo and a conditioning shampoo, I spay with a water, peppermint aloe mixture. I also use royal oils scalp elixir - in the first month my scalp itched and needed some relief but I’ve kept it in my rotation. I also use mielle rosemary oil, in the beginning I used grapeseed oil for the itching- I have a sweet almond oil I use after my wash sometimes- I received it from my loctician and finally I have argan oil. I may oil my scalp with one of these products maybe every week. I did more in the first few months. Now I spray the water only when I want to revive my hair but the shower typically takes care of that.
10. What have you learned? Less is more. Still trying to figure out hair growth rate and what works best. Which oil do I like - I will also see if I need any repairs and I’ll go back to BTS for that maybe next June or July.
11. What is next on your journey? Paying more attention each pic and separating before retie, going longer between reties and continuing to get rid of loose natural products , seeing a f I could repair damages to my right edges with castor oil 
12. How long will you keep them? Maybe forever/ definitely another year.
