MTS: Doctoral Musings #1

I'm currently enrolled in the Doctor of Education program at Northeastern University. To date, I have completed 5 classes, currently enrolled in Research 1 and have 5 more concentration classes and 2 research classes remaining. Since I changes my concentration to higher education administration, I am running a bit behind schedule. I plan to take strategic management in higher education (7258) in Winter 2018 since its the only HEA course offered, then in the spring 2018, I will take Global and historical perspectives (7204) and Organizational systems and institutional governance. This summer I am planning legal environment of higher ed and financial decision making. I have a full plate even though I feel like I should have made the switch before taking R1. Later this week I will write more about my assignments in R1. At this point I am planning to examine the completion behavior of apprentices in finance, insurance and technology. I am referring to it as fit but I think it is known as FinTech - but I'm not sure that insurance is included in FinTech.  So far in this class I've written my problem of practice, positionality and research questions. My next assignment is a draft literature review which is due in 3 weeks. I need to pull out my first lit review and figure out what else is needed with regard to my recent work. I also need to organize my research to figure out what I have and still need.
